Two separate constructions are named. Keeping them separate is the most useful part of the evidence because “LionVII elastic belt” can refer to a ratchet model with a metal buckle or a continuously adjustable model with a non-metal YKK buckle.

LionVII attributes both summaries to Intertek and lists SATRA TM181, TM102, and TM103. WearFacta verified that these SATRA methods exist and reviewed SATRA’s public scope descriptions. The complete LionVII reports, sample photographs, individual results, and signed PDFs were not publicly accessible on September 6, 2026.

SATRA defines TM181 for buckle and strap attachments in completed footwear, not as a belt-specific product standard. LionVII’s summaries do not show how that method was adapted to the submitted belt specimens. The repeated-extension interpretation below therefore relies on the separately listed TM102 and TM103 methods, whose published scopes address elastic materials.

What SATRA TM102 and TM103 measure

SATRA TM102 measures an elastic material’s limit of useful extension: how far it can stretch while retaining its elastic properties. The specimen is extended under increasing tensile force, and the limit is determined from a force-extension graph.

SATRA TM103 evaluates resistance to repeated extension. A prepared elastic specimen is repeatedly stretched to its useful-extension limit. Damage is assessed at intervals, and the test stops at a set cycle count or when damage exceeds a predetermined level. The method can also be used after artificial ageing.

That scope gives “20,000 stretches” a technical meaning. It is not simply someone pulling a finished belt by hand 20,000 times. To fully interpret LionVII’s result, the reports would need to show the useful-extension limit, cycle speed, ageing or conditioning, damage criteria, sample count, and observations beyond “no breakage.”

No breakage is not the same as no change

An elastic specimen can remain unbroken while changing in ways that matter to a wearer. Relevant fields could include:
